Aurora

Aurora Aksnes born 15th June 1996 Stavanger is a Norwegian song writer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, was released in May of 2015 by Decca Records to great approval from music journalists and media. Half the World Away - by the Oasis to accompany John Lewis' Christmas ad and Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole - are already two of the most notable covers she has recorded. The singer gained further attention through a tweet from Katy Perry where Perry endorsed her song Runaway. Celebrate her special day. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is of finding an instrument in her attic and being awed by the sound it could make. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents May Britt Aksnes and Jan Oystein Aksnes, encouraged their daughter to take up music for a love rather than as a job. She began to write her own compositions. In addition to Bjork She also cites Leonard Cohen as an influence. She decided to start performing the songs she wrote publicly after her mother said they might help others not to gain fame with her work but to make the people around them understand their own importance and how they can affect the world. When she began playing the piano, she was six years old and started writing songs at the age of nine. It wasn't until her 14th birthday that she told her parents. There was no way she could have imagined to be Aurora. Her sole passion is writing music. Music is her preferred method of feeling anything.
