Aurora
Aurora Aksnes (born June 15, 1996, at Stavanger) is a Norwegian music producer and a singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, was released in May of 2015 by Decca Records to great approval from music journalists and media. Half the World Away from Oasis was released by the group Oasis was recorded for an advertisement of John Lewis, and Nature Boy is a Nat King Cole cover. Katy Perry, who endorsed the song Runaway by her, has given her the track a little more attention. Enjoy her day. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memories are of discovering a piano hidden in her attic, and being captivated by the sounds it produced. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. They encouraged her not to pursue music solely for pleasure or for the sake of development but instead, she should take it seriously. In order to do so she started writing her own original compositions. In addition to Bjork as well, she mentions Leonard Cohen as an influence. Her mother was supportive of her performing her music publicly, not in order to achieve fame, but rather in order to show others that they matter and what they can do to make a difference in the world. Piano was her first instrument at the age of six, and she started making music at the age of nine. The fact that she was a musician wasn't known to her family members until she was fourteen. Aurora's success was never the goal of her. Her sole passion is to write music. For her, the songs she creates are the way that she feels everything.
