Aurora Aksnes born 15th June 1996 Stavanger is an Norwegian music writer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released through the label Decca Records in May 2015 receiving great approval from bloggers as well as the media. The singer has recorded two highly-profile cover songs Half the World Away by the group Oasis to promote a Christmas ad by John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry shared a tweet where Perry promoted her song Runaway. Make it a day to celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was finding a keyboard in her loft, and becoming fascinated by its music. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes encouraged her to learn music, not as a job or a hobby, but as an opportunity to develop. So she started with her own music. Bjork as well as Leonard Cohen are among her most favored writers. Responding to her mother's advice that people should not be aiming to be famous through the songs she writes, but rather realize the importance of themselves and their impact on society. Piano was her first instrument at the age of six. She started creating music after turning nine. Her family didn't hear about it until she turned 14. Aurora's accomplishments were never her goal. Her sole passion is to compose music. She believes that music can help any person feel better.
